Answer :

Are you sure the event didn’t happen before? The very few instances of deja vu I’ve had (fully awake) still make me wonder. I think dreams are a different species.

Most people experience deja vu and part of it involves an illusion that makes you think you know what happens next. :P It is incredibly fascinating and creepy too.
