Not in the beginning. I went to a shop and was making $230 a week when I started doing it 8 years ago. It also depends on how you are paid. If you get paid per labor hour and not per actual hour then you can technically put in more time then you are there. For example, you might put in a 40 hour work week but charge for 50 hours.
