It so was not as bad as 98. I was in Montreal, the center of the storm in 98. It lasted for 2 weeks. This week, it was for 3 days. I have a certificate from the city of Montreal congratulating me on surviving Ice 98. People who had electricity would pass extension cords across the street to people who didn’t have electricity (i.e.: me) and my fish died because the water froze. I had to move into my grandmother’s house and then into a hotel. A tree fell on a house 3 doors down from mine. This week, all there was was 15 centimeters of snow, a few icy patches and a little power outage.
