CKC=Canadian Kennel Club or Continental Kennel Club AKC=American Kennel Club APRI=America’s Pet Registry, Inc. I did not know that any of these organizations other than the AKC existed until I googled the acronym. If you’re looking for a purebred, look at the history of the organization, and also research the pedigree, of you can. Also, a little research can help you find out if the breeder is a puppy mill or a commercial breeding facility.
