Answer :

It depends on what you want to watch. For sports channels etc., get Sky. (Sky+ to rewind and fast-forward TV etc). Virgin can also do that, but the Sky customer service is far superior.

Next time your programme is on set it to record, once set go into your planner ... it is on it will record, leaving you to relax in the knowledge you wont miss you rprogramme!

Depending on the inputs on your Plasma, you could use it as a simple monitor - mine can, but I don't really bother with ... I would carefully set the volume down low, so my parents wouldn't hear ... the TV. You'd have to download the film onto your hard drive then load it into the editor first.
