Back in the 90s, when I was a community home health nurse, my elderly patients loved it. It was cheap and easy tech for them and having their email up on a big TV screen made it easy for them to read. They could sit back in their lazy-boy loungers and type away while monitoring it all on the big screen across the room. Many had grandchildren serving in the military abroad and it kept them connected. I had a 93 year old woman who ran her stock portfolio through WebTV. I even gave away a few used set-top units during Christmastime in the late 90s. I think it is now defunct, bought years ago by Microsoft who no longer licenses the sale of the hardware necessary to run it. It is now known as MSN TV, but, as far as I know, they take no new subcribers and provide service only to the dwindling few existing ones. Is it back?
