How are we to interpret the legend of John Henry?

1 Answer

Answer :

He ought to have eaten a healthier diet and gotten regular check-ups to prevent his heart from exploding… I have always loved this story and I have never considered John Henry a loser to the machine. I saw him as a symbol of freedom and proof that if you work hard for what you believe you might not always succeed but there is triumph in the fight. I’d go in more depth but coffee awaits…
