answer:Are you sure that the drivers you installed are for XP? I’m not sure if Dell is phasing out the drivers for that OS or not. Also, make sure it fits for your processor (32 or 64bit) I’ve run into this problem with my HP machine back when I downgraded to XP Pro. Drivers are a pain. What I did is I checked out the drivers for similar machines, perhaps ones that were in the same product line? I just installed what I could until I got one to work. Oh, also make sure you restart. Sometimes you need to do that.
