answer:How long ago was your last good haircut? You might need exactly that. Getting a blunt cut (or just getting fewer layers) can help to make your hair look thicker. The thing with layers is that they give your hair shape, movement, and fullness. Without them, hair can look flat and lifeless. But if you have too many, your hair can end up looking thin and stringy. Try getting some length cut off of your longest layer, and then at your next haircut have your stylist cut fewer layers. I think that is going to be the most important thing you do, especially if you have naturally fine hair to begin with. Also, buy yourself a good quality volumizing shampoo & conditioner (many women overcondition their hair.. which can lead to it looking flat and heavy), and invest in a good root lifter. Or, if you don’t like a root lifter.. I like to use a texturizing salt spray – I like the one from Charles Worthington’s big hair line, it smells AWESOME, and leaves your hair shiny and bouncy. Hope this helps :) and on that note.. if YOU like your hair, forget what your friend said. Let her worry about her own hair…
