computer monitors / tvs don’t fall out of date very fast – a 24 inch monitor for three years ago is pretty much the same as one on today’s market. Unless you’re waiting on a specific new technology which you know will be released soon, don’t expect to get much from waiting. I use a gadget connected to my tv in order to watch netflix on my tv (a rokku box), and it connects to my laptop just fine through a DVI cable. Most laptops allow you to connect your laptop to a tv as treat it like a separate screen – meaning you can watch hulu while working on your laptop if your cable to the tv is long enough.
