answer:There’s no way to do this just with Windows XP. However there are some downloadable programs I’ve found online. Romaco Timeout is a utility that does just that – and it seems to offer some other options as well. You can choose a daily quota of time or a session quota – I think you wanted the daily option. It is free to download and use at the moment (from what I gather). Child Control is another program that does this, but it isn’t free. The benefit of this program is you have more options, like being able to set a daily quota and have blocked times of day, limit internet use, block certain programs etc. Kidswatch is yet another program that does this. Again, it isn’t free, but does offer more functionality than Romaco Timeout. You can set time limits, block internet access, monitor activity. All of these will work with XP and also with Vista and Windows 7 if you choose to upgrade in the future.
