answer:I will turn 30 at the end of this month. I began wearing eyeglasses when I was ten years old. From age 19 to age 22 I wore contacts, until my eyes did dry out significantly enough to lead to a scratched cornea. That is a special kind of pain, I’ll tell you. Now I keep disposable contacts around for special occasions (weddings, costumes, etc.) but never wear them for more than 4–8 hours at a time. At one point I was prescribed Restasis to help with the dry-eye issues, but I had a weird side effect that wasn’t listed in the paperwork: my eyes became painfully photosensitive. Going outside during daylight hours was torturous. So, I just wear glasses and use eyedrops sometimes.
