After radiation, which burned my lower tract, I had to cook all veg for awhile, and making a smoothie helped a lot. It cut down on the work My poor abused gut had to do. Steaming is good in the summer, it can be done in the microwave without heating up the kitchen. Then you store them in the fridge until you use them. Heat breaks down the fibrous stuff and compromises the cell walls so the veg aren’t as hard to breakdown during digestion. Good luck, bad gut stuff sucks. :-(
