Is "the Vanity of Existence" by Arthur Schopenhauer, book worth reading?

Get it from the library. If you really like it then you can buy it. You do realize that Schopenhauer was a philosopher, so it may not be light reading, and the title is not very uplifting. What made you decide on this book?
