Well this is mostly an opinion but here it is: The movie the godfather has some of the greatest actors of its time Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, James Caan, and Dianne Keaton. It won many awards including best picture, best lead actor(Marlon Brando), and best screen write, outstanding directorship, and very well made sound track. The movie captures the hardships of the Italian people and how they had to be made and live the true American dream. It truly captures this marvelously. This is my opinion of why it is such a masterpeice, if you have seen it you would know:) Enjoy the 3 part series.
