She died because she tripped over a weight and she took to many pills. people might say that she committed suicide but she took to many pills, tripped over a weight, and collapsed on stage.Dorothy Dandridge did trip over a weight and stubbed her toe and the doctor at the scene of her death stated that she had died from a blood clot. After the autopsy the coroner stated that Dorothy Dandridge had taken an overdose of pills.
