There are no "diabetic foods" per se. A diabetic eating plan includes foods from all five food groups, including lean proteins, fruits and vegetables, whole grains, dairy and "good" fats. The foods to be avoided on a diabetic meal plan are pretty much foods that should be avoided by anyone: "bad" fats, which include fatty cuts of meat, butter, processed sugars, white bread, fast food and processed food in general.
