Today, I want to talk to you about exercise and making it fun. No, I'm not joking. No, I'm not try to pull one over on you.Exercise can actually be a lot of fun. You probably don't believe me. I don't blame you. I used to feel the same way. Year of being tortured by high school PE or any other forms of absolute drudgery have left the average American adult with the idea that exercise about as much fun as getting a tax audit while you have the flu.No double, you picture endless walking on a belt to nowhere, or piles of repetitions with heavy weights. You know, the kind of things you might find inside an 80's movie montage during the training scene.Our view of exercise in the modern world is not great. But, the truth is that the exercise does not have to be a boring, painful experience.Now, I know that there is a good shot most of you won't believe me but exercise can actually be fun. Need proof? That's OK because today we are going to talk about how not just why.Step One: Broaden Your Scope.If you don't think of exercise as anything but a chore, then the odds are you have a limited view of what is qualifies as exercise.Have ever thought about exercises as being part of the fun things you want to do in your life? Well, some of them are exercise.Do you want to dance? How about gong for a swim? Those are both an excellent phone cardio. Neither of those do it for you?Well then lets take it down another notch. If you have a dog, you have a built in exercise machine. Instructions go something like this: apply leash and walk daily. SStep Two: Make A ListNow that you have found out that anything to get you moving can be considered exercise you need to figure out what makes you happy. Make a list of your top three favorites. This intrepid bloggers favorite three are as follows:1. Swimming2. The Punching Bag3. RacquetballWhat are you waiting for make your list! Grab a Post It, or just a sheet of paper and a pen. You can even do it on your phone in a text. Just get a list going. I'll wait. Grab your planner book (or app) while you are getting up.Step Three: Work it Into Your LifeIt is time to play a game of find the holes. Don't worry it will be easy to do. Where can you fit these things into your normal life? Maybe you could take the girls to a salsa dancing on Friday night, or schedule a game of Tennis with your significant other on the weekend. Want a mid-week treat? Then consider adding in a swim at your gym (or community) pool. It can be a nice way to turn hump day into the thing you look forward to all week.See, now you get to exercise, and be the most fun person in your social set too.
