Last Answer : While giving gifts you must consider the status of recipient. If a person receiving gift is going to compare the gift with market value and resalable value then giving souvenirs gift is bad idea. If the gift is given to person close to heart then souvenirs is good idea as it will emotional value.

Last Answer : For a best friend, I would go with a gift card to her/his favorite restaurant, spa, store, etc... Or if you have more money to spend, I think a cruise is an awesome idea.

Last Answer : When I was engaged, I did not receive any engagement gifts. I do not know of any of my friends who received engagement gifts either. I think that a good replacement to an engagement gift would be a gift for their bridal shower or bachelor party in addition to a wedding gift.
