How did they come up with the name BlackBerry?

1 Answer

Answer :

Manufacturers thought the buttons looked like little strawberry seeds but thought "straw" sounded too slow so someone suggested that a blackberry sounded smoother. Originally it was called LeapFrog to insinuate it leaping over the competition. I know some people that call it CrackBerry because it is so addicting haha. I heard that too even to the point were Webster Dictionary named "crackberry" the new word of the year in 06. Way back in the brainstrom stages, I heard they were going to call it PocketLink glad they didnt because that seems like a boring technology name.

Last Answer : You can dig some roots up and move them where they can spread. That's what they do. Or you can dig & give some away. I don't stake them. Some people only cut them back in the fall. I wait until I see a can dead then I cut them. They make delicious jam.
