Power is the main factor affecting the ability of this technique to cut hard wood, cutting speed and depth. For most cases, an amateur model is enough for personal use. In addition, the weight and vibration of the instrument increase from the power, which means that it will be more difficult for an inexperienced person to cope with it.
A chainsaw is more difficult to maintain than an electric saw, so you need to top up gasoline, change the oil, and so on. However, chainsaws are somewhat cheaper: buying a Husqvarna saw on gasoline can be 10-20% cheaper than on electricity. And in terms of ease of use, it is somewhat more convenient.
