How do you get treated if an ovarian cyst is found cancerous?

1 Answer

Answer :

Hello! I had an ovarian cyst. It was not cancerous in the end, but I was explained the whole way in case it was. It is like this. They will run a vaginal ultrasound on you and then get a little piece of it for a biopsy. Once they have the results if the cyst is bening (like my case) you get treated with hormones so it can get expelled from your body (as mine only had liquid inside).  Now if it is a solid one you might have to have the doctor remove it from your body, once again a they are hard to get expelled. If it is cancer you will immediately go to treatment, through chemo. The steps and treatment will be determined on how far your cancer is. Please mind I am not a doctor, but a patient. Talk to your doctor! I hope you are ok!
