The reasons for Laptop speakers not working is as follows: 1. It is in mute mode. 2. It is not selected as sound output device in Speaker Setting. This can be known by right clicking on speaker icon at bottom right corner. 3. The sound drivers are not upto date for it. This can be checked in Device Manager. 4. It has been blocked from outside by other things placed near it. 5. It has been blocked from inside due to some hardware issues such as heating, disconnection due to any reason etc.
