I want to renovate a (tin) garage door. I already have them orphaned. Does any primer need to be applied to the sheet? Or is it enough to paint them normally with iron? Thank you Radim

Answer :

I personally recommend using a base according to the top color you will use. The primer does not only act as a base, but also as a penetration, and better connects disparate layers.
