How to replace a dowel?

Hello, lately I started to look at the garnish at home and at first glance it looks like the dowel may have cracked or otherwise damaged. What about now? It's easy to take it out and replace it with another. I looked at liquid dowels, but I didn't find anything to use them for such small handles, and I would also need him to unscrew the screw, for painting, and so on. What about now? Thanks for advice

Answer :

Take out the wrong dowel / pull out, scrape out, or cut out / use another dowel either bigger or the same, with a plaster or in another suitable way making a hole after the original dowel
