Do you think horse chestnuts are toxic?

1 Answer

Answer :

Yes, eating horse chestnut fruit can cause severe poisoning. Nevertheless, a large number of medicinal preparations are made from it, even preparations for oral use are marketed, but the use of these preparations in children is prohibited. These preparations should be avoided during pregnancy and in patients with kidney or liver disease. I have only described these in connection with the preparations because this may make it clearer how toxic the horse chestnut fruit is.
