Jute is a monsoon crop. In Bangladesh jute is called golden fiber and jute is a hundred year old tradition of Bengal (Bangladesh and West Bengal). Two types of jute are found in Bangladesh: Corchorus capsularis ( white jute) and Corchorus olitorius (tosha jute). It is a plant belonging to the family Tiliaceae . The word jute is thought to have originated from the Sanskrit word patta. The English name of jute is jute . Probably from Ure (Orissa , India) language.
