: Hazre Aswad (Arabic: ﺍﻟﺤﺠﺮ ﺍﻷﺳﻮﺩ al-Ḥajar al-Aswad Bengali: কালো পাথর) is a black colored stone which is located one and a half meters (four feet) high from Mataf in the south-east corner of Kaaba Sharif. [1] [2] According to Muslim belief, this stone has been on earth since the time of Adam and Eve. [3] The stone was also revered in pre-Islamic pagan societies. According to the Islamic narration , the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) placed it on the wall of the Kaaba in 605. It is currently attached to the Kaaba in a silver frame. Its color is dark black and it has got a smooth shape due to the touch of millions of appearances. According to Islamic belief, it came down from heaven to earth during the time of Adam and Eve. Although it is called a meteor, its authenticity is not certain. [4] Muslims perform Tawaf as part of Hajj or Umrah. There is a custom of kissing Aswad at the beginning of it. [5] You have to put your face in the frame and kiss it with pleasure. The Saudi police is present next to it 24 hours a day. They make sure that no one is bothered to put their head in the frame or kiss. [2] However, if it is not possible to kiss, Tawaf is started by gesturing. [৬]
