There is a pigment called melanin under our skin. If for some reason it is more effective in a particular part of the skin, that part of the skin becomes darker than the surrounding part. As a result that part looks black or brown to light brown. This is called mechta. It is not an allergy. Doesn't do cancer or do anything bad. The only downside is the loss of beauty.
