What is Mica Capacitor ?

1 Answer

Answer :

: This type of capacitor is made by placing a thin mica sheet as a dielectric in the middle of the tin foil plate. One terminal is extracted by connecting one set of metal foil and another terminal is extracted by attaching another set of metal foil. The whole system is then placed in a plastic cover. Mica capacitors are usually made and used for low capacitance (usually in the 10 to 500 picofarad range).
