What is index error ?

1 Answer

Answer :

Usually such errors occur in the light bench. There are indicator marks on the bench stand. The distance between the index spots of the two stands and the actual distance between the two objects (pins and mirrors or lenses) placed on the stand may not be equal. In that case, if you take a lesson by looking at the index spots, the error is called index error.
