What is the electron configuration of an atom ?

1 Answer

Answer :

The number of electrons in an atom is a unique number. The structure of which gives an idea of the properties of atoms. According to the laws of quantum mechanics, a certain number of electrons in an angle are arranged in different orbitals of different energy levels and sub-energy levels of that atom. This arrangement of electrons in different orbitals of atoms is called electron configuration of atoms. The electron configuration of an atom follows a number of general rules. The rules are as follows: (a) Pauli's Exclusion Principle ( b) Aufbau Principle ( c) Hund's Rule
