What is a bit-map font ?

1 Answer

Answer :

Bitmaps are made up of numerous dots or pixels. A pixel is the smallest part or element of an image . Bit-map fonts are created based on metrics created using dots or pixels. Pixels or dots can be seen by enlarging the bit-map font size. Bitmapped is also called graphics font. Pixels or dots appear when the font size of the bitmapped font is enlarged. The unit to determine the size of the character is the point. The vertical size of a 72 point character is one inch.
