E-Governance is the application of electronic or digital system in the governance system and process of the country. E-Governance plays a vital role in modernizing and up-to-date all government and non-government organizations in Bangladesh as well as ensuring transparency and accountability. Which is highlighted below - even seven days after the publication of the results of any previous government examination, students in remote villages did not know it. But now with the release of results, everyone can easily know it through SMS on internet and mobile phones. At present, students can apply for e-Governance through SMS on internet and mobile phone without applying for physical admission in any higher education institution. All the services of the Deputy Commissioner's Office are being made available in a short time , at low cost and without any hassle. It is becoming possible to pay electricity bills , gas bills , water bills online and via SMS on mobile phones. With the introduction of e-governance, interconnection between government departments is increasing and the efficiency of the staff is increasing.
