The feature of WiFi is the Wireless Local Area Network ( WLAN) in the IEEE 802.11 standard . No cabling is required for the network. Easily add new users to the network. The scope of the network increases. The coverage area is usually between 32 meters for indoor and 95 meters for outdoor. 20 MHz specified for channel bandwidth 52 sub-carriers . Half duplexing medium is used. Its initial frequency band is 2.4 GHz but now it is up to 5.85 GHz . No license or authorization is required for the frequency band. The CSMA / CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance) protocol is used for media access control . Provides frequency hopping for 802.11b and 802.11g standards.
