The organization is also contributing to the prevention of 6 deadly diseases of children (measles , diphtheria , tetanus , tuberculosis , polio , whooping cough , etc.). The agency is also working to eliminate malaria from the country , provide clean water , improve sewerage systems , and reduce maternal and child mortality. The World Health Organization has also made significant contributions to the control of the deadly diseases cholera and diarrhea.
