If you just recite the verses of prostration, you will perform prostration. Many of the Companions and Tabi'is used to recite the entire Qur'an at least once a week. For this they determined the amount of daily recitation. Manzil is the name of that amount. The Qur'an has seven stages. Which is also called hijab. There are 14 verses of prostration in the Quran.
