The term Professorship is derived from the Latin word Profess . Which means to shout out loud. The proclamation here refers to the practice of knowledge and the propagation of the truth about it. The term teaching is used primarily to refer to a higher level teaching profession. Where professionals are engaged in basic types of high-level research. The knowledge gained from these studies can be traditionally called institutionalization and teaching is the work of spreading it firmly. Needless to say , this teaching profession is revered all over the world as a very high level and respected profession in the society. There are three main jobs in the teaching profession. Firstly , to teach and secondly , to do research and thirdly , to make a fundamental contribution to social development and human welfare. Of course these three actions are complementary to each other. The term teaching is commonly used in the case of college and university level teachers. But there is no difference between college and university. The difference is at what stage the person engaged in the teaching profession is teaching. A professor is a person who teaches at the under - graduate and post-graduate levels. However, in this case, not everyone who teaches is called a professor. The only one among them who is promoted to the highest level is the professor who has to go through many steps. According to the rules and regulations of the universities of most of the countries of the world, the position of teaching is basically the highest position of the three positions. There are three positions in this post - firstly , Assistant Professor , secondly , Associate Professor , thirdly , Professor . However, this term does not really apply to teaching. However, since this term is initially passed, many are willing to consider it as the first step. This term is called Lecturer Instructor . In our country this term is also considered as the initial step of teaching. The main job of the person (lecturer) in this position is to teach. Since these lecturers have no idea about the research (usually assumed) they are not employed. When it comes to teaching in a college or university, it is important for a person to have the skills and contribution of a research person to get a professorship. And that is why a person has to take the highest degree. This degree is the Ph.D. . This degree can vary. E.g . : Ph.DD Sc. D. Lit. MDD Eng. Etc. Extensive discussions have already been held in this regard. Therefore, it should be kept in mind that it is advisable to get these degrees in order to get the teaching position . Because by acquiring these degrees, a person gains the ability to work as an independent researcher. In addition, the person with this degree acquires all the mental , intellectual , professional , social and other qualifications required for the teaching profession. It also develops creativity in the individual. As a result, it makes a person suitable for higher level teaching and research. For these reasons, if you do not make a profit in the corner of the above mentioned degrees, usually you will not be given the title of Professor. Of course, there are more or less exceptions. It should be noted that the profession of professor is a very high professional degree. This is why the title is used in front of the person's name. And once one acquires this title from the appropriate authority, he can use it with dignity in his name for the rest of his life. Here the person can write or say the title in front of his name whether he is engaged in the profession or not. Needless to say , this is a death knell.
