Creating a Blank DatabaseTo create a new blank database, you need to perform the steps which are as follows:Step 1 Start Microsoft Access 2007, then Getting Started with Microsoft Office Access page will appear.Step 2 Click on Blank Database icon, the Blank Database pane will appear on the right-hand side as shown in the below figure:Step 3 Type a name for the database in the File Name: box. If you do not give a file name extension, Access automatically adds the default extension .accdb. To change the location of the file from the default, click on Browse (Sir ) icon for changing the location.Step 4 Click the Create button. Access creates the database with an empty table named Table 1, which will open in Datasheet View. The cursor is placed in the first empty cell in the Add New Field column as shown in the following figure:
