Term of office and removal of Judges: A Judge of the Supreme Court continues in office until he attains the age of 65. However, Article 124 (2) provides that a Judge may resign by writing under his hand addressed to the President. A Judge of the Supreme Court may be removed from office on the grounds of proved misbehaviour and incapacity by the president by an order issued after an address has been presented to him by the Parliament. Such an address must be supported by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members present and voting in each House of Parliament.
