This industry is seasonal in nature, hence many works in cooperatives. 60% of sugar mills in India is concentrated in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. But this industry also faces challenges like the seasonal change. Sugarcane is an annual crop and methods used in the production are old and inefficient. If any stage goes wrong, it results in a huge loss to the farmer.
