I have a new mexican petunia that has dropped all of its buds and no longer flowers. What can i do.

take the dried buds away and after the sun goes down have ready a mix of 1 teasp liquid kitchen soap and 1 qt water spray.................spray the soil...............spray after it rains.  also ph should be 6.0-8.0 and lighly mulch around them.
