Fall & late fall before it snows is the test time. Willows have roots that seek water..........so keep it 50 ft or more away from water pipes, line and septic systems and drain fields. They do best along a creek bed to keep the bank strong. Also don't plant it near your home or garage or along walkways or stone or cement ways. They will move it, break it peirce it. with the roots system.
