how do you grow gensing

1 Answer

Answer :

Gensing is usually grown in the wild.  It is the root of the gensing plant.  This particular plant enjoys shady areas when there is no direct sunlight.  As for the soil, the gensing plant will grow in just about all soil types, during the first couple of months after planting a cutting of a gensing root, you will need to water it moderately, no more than 15 minutes every 3 to 4 hours.  To test if your gensing curring is receiving the right amount of water.  From the base of where you planted the cutting mark a circle in the soil 14" in diameter.  At the end of the day, you will need to dig a hole within those 14" roughly about 8" deep, if at the bottem of that hole it feels dry that the currting will need more water, if, howver there is a tiny bit of moisture at the bottom of that hole, then the wattering can continue.  Its more trial and werror than scientific technique.
