answer:lots of practice and filtering out all of the crap. but, not all pro athletes are able to repress their emotions…look at the NBA, NFL, MLB…they have their share of angry athletes. but i believe they overcome some of the pressure by just being under that pressure all the time. the first time they hit a court or field, the emotions were probably more than they could handle. over time, a person gets used to it. it takes a special person to be an athlete…not everyone can deal with it, though, even with tons of practice. it’s kindof like public speaking. the first time you do it, you want to hurl and you stutter and you sweat. after a few more times, the hurling sensation goes away and you’re more confident than before. pretty soon it’s just part of your life.
