Last Answer : To me, “clever” implies being able to create an unconventional solution or approach to a problem. It differs from an insightful or elegant solution in that it is applicable to the task or problem at hand, but not necessarily applicable in general or in other similar circumstances.

People see a ribbon, a bra color et al, and they start talking about it ... that's what they mean by raising awareness- not just of the problem, but of the solutions as well.
