If it’s leaking around a joint, you might be able to fix it by just tightening the joint up, or taking the joint apart, applying plumber’s tape, and screwing it back together. If it’s leaking from the area where the sink meets the drain, you can take it apart and put plumber’s putty under the flanges, and put it back together. If it’s leaking because there is rust/a hole in a pipe, that’s a much bigger problem. Can you tell specifically where the leak is?
