Good question but I don’t have an answer.. One thing I do know is that the iPhone can open large PDF versions of books. When it first came out I was curious as to its capabilities and emailed myself a 300 page PDF to see what would “happen”. Opened and browsed effortlessly! So that is a round about option if you can get ahold of a PDF version of your favorite novel. I would imagine that when the iPhone is opened up to third party developers this week you’ll start seeing apps and services like this open up for non-jailbroken iPhones.
