answer:When typing in a text box, it’s going to not bring up the “find function”, however when not in a text box, hitting certain keys bring up the find function. This is, I think (based on how I found this out) because in various legacy programs, those various keys brought up search features. ”/” is how I discovered it when I accidentally typed it meaning to search for something. Also apostrophe searches only for links, and forward slash searches all text. The big difference between Ctrl-F and quickfinds are that the quickfind bar disappears on its own.
