answer:i work at the apple store and as far as my manager knows, apple might not issue coupons at all. There are rumors online that it would be updated automatically via Mac OS Update. My suggestion is wait till october to get the macbook since they are going to upgrade the macbook display with the santa rosa display unit (which is only available with mac pros right now)
